“You once got quoted a 1000 euros and fixed it yourself for a simple 50 euros?” …Driving through a lot of different countries as a girl (and a guy I can imagine too), there can always be something happening with your van and then you are the one to solve the problem. Off course the easy way is to ask straight for help, but not always the best option..If I am alone on the road, I learned to take care of my own problems and trust myself I can.
Why be the princess or the damsel in distress when you can fix the dang thing yourself? My dad was great about teaching me how to fix household items, car things and make our own furniture. As a little girl I loved to help my dad, drilling, using the saw, painting… breaking a wall down, washing the car, changing the tires or anything that gave me the black stripes in my face, hands with oil, paint in my hair and my knees full of mud. Sorry mum…
